Rogue Trader, Darktide, Boltgun: all Warhammer announcements

On the occasion of the Warhammer Skulls Showcase this Wednesday evening, information was given for several games of the license, including the brand new Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, by Owlcat Games.

On Wednesday evening, the Warhammer Skulls Showcase 2022 was launched, an opportunity to present new video games related to the famous franchise of miniature games. Here are a few announcements that caught our attention.

Owlcat Games Announces Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader

New cRPG title, the next title from Owlcat Games, accustomed to adapting board games (Pathfinder: Kingmaker and Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous) will take place in the 40k universe, a first in video games for this IP. With turn-based combat, the action takes place in the wastes of Koronus, a dangerous and uncharted region located on the borders of the Imperium of Man.

Starting today, fans can support the game by purchasing one of the Founder’s Packs to gain access to the alpha and beta versions of the game in particular. It will be released on PC and consoles at an undisclosed date.

Pre-orders open for Darktide

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide will be released on September 13 on PC and Xbox Series, the opportunity for Fatshark to announce the opening of pre-orders for the game, in addition to the release of a new cinematic trailer for this 4-player co-op game .

Reclaim the city of Tertium from hordes of bloodthirsty enemies in this intense and brutal shooter. Produced by the team behind the Vermintide series, this title is available in two editions, including an Imperial with lots of bonus content.

Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus tactical RPG in pre-registration

Snowprint’s tactical hexagonal board game opens for online pre-orders. Planned on iOS and Android, the title will offer 8 factions at launch: Ultramarines, Black Legion, Astra Militarum, Necron, Adepta Sororitas, Black Templars, Death Guard and the Orks.

New games and release dates

The showcase was also an opportunity to give the release date of Warhammer 40,000: Shootas, Blood & Teef, a new 2D action/platformer game, for October 20, 2022. It will be released on Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 5.

Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge will be a card game, it will be released next year in free to play on PC and will also offer to embody many factions of the license.

Finally, Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun will take the form of a very retro Doom-like set in 2023, with Space Marines smashing mouths. Developed by Auroch and published by Focus, it will be released on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series, Xbox One and Switch.
