During a recent livestream dedicated to the famous blue hedgehog, Sega claimed that Sonic Frontiers is doing well and will give an update soon.
The last time we heard of Sonics Frontier was to let us know that the game would be fully localized in French. For the rest, you have to go back to TGA 2021, where the software unveiled its first trailer.
Two Sonic games in 2022?
But that’s gonna change if we believe the words of Katie ChrzanowskiSocial Manager for the American section of Sega, who, during a livestream dedicated to the Sega mascot, gave snippets of information about Sonic Frontiers.
I see a lot of people asking about Sonic Frontiers, and if we don’t have any Frontiers news right away, don’t worry, it’s coming soon. It’s still slated for release in late 2022.so we will have some news for you this year, don’t worry.
The first open-world Sonic would therefore indeed be planned to be released this year on PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One and switch. This also confirms the information, from a PS5 database, which claimed that the software was dated for November of this year.
However, if the output window is obviously the correct one, we will wait for a confirmation from Sega before confirming the final date. For now, the next Sonic to arrive is none other than Sonic Origins and it lands by June of this year.
