Several months of development is what STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl needs to achieve the goals of GSC Game World. And so, the release on PS5 will also suffer this delay.

Everything was almost set in stone at E3 2021 for STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl, which had the honor of revealing its release date. But the vagaries of development have decided otherwise. If the Ukrainian YouTuber “OLDboi” started this rumor, GSC Game World confirms the information: Stalker 2 will not be released on April 28, 2022 … but on December 8, 2022 on Xbox Series and PC.

In its tweet, the studio explains that the additional seven months will be used to achieve their vision to varying degrees, including in terms of finishing, for what represents their “biggest project”. And for that, further tests are needed.

As a reminder, this is a temporary exclusive on Xbox Series which, according to documents, would only be 3 months, which means thata PS5 release should not be until March 2023, at best. The PC version will arrive on December 8, 2022, and you can already see a bit of the recommended configurations.
