If the famous E3 is bowing out this year, the Summer Game Fest is setting the stage for a new edition.
While on the one hand E3 2022 recently announced its outright cancellation, on the other the Summer Game Fest surf on the news (hey, how amazing) to date his next event to come this summer.
The Summer Game Fest: the replacement for E3?
It is the prolific Geoff Keighley who announces the good news via his Twitter accountthe Summer Game Fest will indeed hold a 2022 edition from next June. “Mr World Premiere” will be back, and will present us with a festival of announcements like last year.
Excited to share that @SummerGameFest will return this June with a slate of events. We’ll be producing another Kickoff Live show with announcements, news and first looks.

Among the partner advertisers, we find some big names like Activision, which may tell us about the sequel for Call of Duty, Capcom, which is awaiting a sign of life for the remake of Resident Evil 4, Riot Games which still has several games under the elbow including a console version of League of Legends Wild Rift, or Square Enix which simmers its fans by keeping silent on Final Fantasy XVI.
Obviously these are only a small part of the publishers and developers who will be present at the event, you can find the complete list on the official website of the Summer Game Fest and start theorizing on the announcements to come.
Besides, what are you waiting for as an announcement?
