Being in hell has never been so cool! the Rhythm FPS Metal: Hellsingerdeveloped by Swedish studio The Outsiders and produced by Funcom has just made an announcement that will delight fans of video games and Heavy Metal. System of a Down lead singer with the iconic voice Serj Tankian joins the cast made up of artists like Alissa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy), Matt Heafy (Trivium) or Randy Blythe (Lamb of God).
A trailer containing the original track No Tomorrowperformed by the singer, was published revealing his participation.
“What more can I say! We have so many System of a Down fans in the studio that Serj Tankian’s addition to our already incredible roster of vocalists seems unreal. He rocked it all with the track and made it his own as only he could do it. We are so happy and can’t wait to see everyone play!” David Goldfarb, Creative Director at The Outsiders
Metal: Hellsinger plunges us into the worst regions of hell in order to annihilate all beasts and monstrosities who will block our way. Driven by the thirst for revenge against the devil himself, we will strike down evil forces to the rhythms of guitar riffs. Each track of the soundtrack is adaptive and shares a strong connection to gameplay. Indeed, our triumph will depend solely on our ability to shoot in time with the music. The more we synchronize with it, the more it will intensify and the more our weapons will sow death and destruction.
The voices of Troy Baker (The Last of Us, Death Stranding) and Jennifer Hale (Overwatch, Mass Effect) will accompany our revenge. The game will also offer us a Torment mode which will be a competitive challenge.
Metal: Hellsinger will be released this year on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X and PC.
