The movie Bioshock planned on Netflix now knows its director and its scriptwriter, regulars of the adaptation of comics or novels.

He will also direct the new opus, a prequel scheduled for 2023. The movie Bioshock will be adapted by comic book and TV writer Michael Green, who notably worked on the scripts of Blade Runner 2049 or Logan in the cinema and who produced many episodes of Smallville, Heroes or Gotham. Finally, the film will be supported by the studio Vertigo Entertainment, specialist of Asian horror (The Ring, The Grudge…)

All the lights seem to be green for this adaptation of the franchise on Netflix, which has known a lot of commotion. Planned in 2008, the adaptation was cancelled a little later by Universal Pictures who didn’t want to make a movie as dark as the game. No more news since then, but the SVOD company had announced in February the return of the license on its screens.
