After announcing “big projects” to follow up on Gears 5, the Microsoft studio launched a vast recruitment campaign on its networks.
Will we see soon an announcement for an oft-talked about but never confirmed Gears 6? Last week, The Coalition had already taken a first step in this direction, announcing the removal of a game mode from Gears 5 in order to focus its efforts on the future of the license.
We know that the studio, presented as the Unreal Engine 5 specialist at Xbox, is on several parallel projects for Microsoft’s console. Following this last communication, The Initiative therefore published on his LinkedIn a call for developers and engineers.

While the majority of these are already a few weeks or even a few months old, new proposals have appeared in recent days, showing how much society wants accelerate his search for the rest of his adventures. A narrative designer and a producer are now tracked. The listings state the color clearly:
We are the official home of the Gears of War franchise, and our goal is to shape the future of intellectual property and push the boundaries of Microsoft’s entertainment platforms and devices.
With this great recruitment which has grown even more this week, the studio attests that it has clearly already launched the project. Gears 6 or Gears Tactics 2? We don’t know yet, but we hope to find out more during the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, set at June 12, 2022.
