SNK has just announced that a major update will be rolled out this winter for The King of Fighters ’98, on the occasion of IgroMir, Russia’s biggest video game event.

Released on PC in 2014, The King of Fighters ’98 still has a very present community, which will surely be delighted with these novelties.

It is indeed biggest update since launch, which can be tested during the Community Beta Test to be held from November 30 to December 4.

Now let’s talk about the new features: the game will now have online features, players will be able to create and join lobbies to face multiple adversaries, to place themselves as spectators to learn or to encourage their friends. It was one of the most requested requests from players.

the The King of Fighters ’98 original rollback netcode has been revised to be replaced by that of Code Mystics, a reference in the field of Versus Fighting. That implies greater precision in the shots and avoids all latency periods that could arise in-game.
