Dead Island 2 is well and truly on its way back. A new source seems to confirm what has been said before about an upcoming reveal.

A few weeks ago, the well-known Tom Henderson announced the imminent return of a title that has been forgotten since its revelation at E3 2014: Dead Island 2. Something that now seems to be confirmed with a new statement that corroborates his claims.

An upcoming release for Dead Island 2?

The journalist Colin Moriarty had the same words as his colleague during his last podcast Sacred Symbols: according to his source, whose reliability is not to be questioned, the development of the game would indeed be about to be finished . Which would immediately bring him to the front of the stage. Statements that should normally be realized by this summer, by means of a new presentation, which will be followed by a release towards the end of this year 2022, either in October or September .

I learned from a reliable source that the game could be revealed sometime in the summer and released soon after, in September or October at the earliest.

Well, we’ll see. In any case, this time seems to be the right one, especially since the enigmatic words used recently by the CEO of the parent company of Deep Silver (Embrace) about a game that could be released before on March 31, 2023, the end of the fiscal year. This was during a Q&A session that occurred during the financial results reveal:

I can’t talk about Dead Island 2 because it’s not advertised as such by the publisher. […] But we just talked about the fact that we have an unannounced AAA title…that you think is Dead Island 2, so it’s hard for me to comment further on that.
