Released in 2014, the action-RPG Lords of the Fallen had a sequel in the pipeline for a long time. The latter has shown up at Gamescom.

The opening ceremony of Gamescom 2022 hosted the first trailer for the sequel to Lords of the Fallen, which has been in development for many years.

A 2? Where is it?

It must be said that the construction of this new iteration was very tumultuous. So much so that the publisher CI Games was forced to create an in-house studio to ensure the smooth creation of the software. Finally, the release began to take shape over the years. Last year, the game’s logo was even revealed. Now we have a first trailer that also serves as a tune-up.

For starters, the souls-like changes its name and is now called The Lords of the Fallen (simple, but effective). Then, if you wish, you can invite a friend to brave the adventures that await you in this fallen world. Ideal, on paper, to facilitate some tough fights, but beware, it is possible to be invaded. Let’s end on the bad news, no gameplay images have been revealed. Nevertheless, details about the story have been released:

After an era of the worst tyranny ever, the demon god Adyr was finally defeated. Alas, gods do not remain fallen forever. Aeons have passed and Adyr’s resurrection approaches. As one of the mythical Black Crusaders, traverse the realms of the living and the dead in this long-running RPG featuring titanic bosses, intense and challenging combat, colorful characters, and a deep and immersive storyline. Will your legend be one of light…or darkness?

Currently, The Lords of the Fallen does not have a release date. It should be released in 2023 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series.
