Will the next The Witcher game be an Epic Games Store exclusive on PC? CD Projekt RED has responded to fan concerns.
It was the announcement not to be missed yesterday. CD Projekt RED is currently working on The Witcher 4, an opus that will mark the beginning of a new saga but also the abandonment of REDengine. The Polish studio will swap its in-house engine for Unreal Engine 5, Epic Games’ baby which had done wonders with its Matrix demo.
No exclusivity for The Witcher 4
A strategic partnership with the American giant which will extend over fifteen years which has not failed to worry some of the players: what if this new The Witcher becomes an Epic Games Store PC exclusive? It’s a no. In response to fans, the game’s official account suggested that this upcoming saga will be released on multiple PC retail platforms.
We are not planning on making the game exclusive to one storefront.
