It’s now official, Skull and Bones will be released at the end of the year on PC and next generation consoles. The pirate title from Ubisoft reveals some exciting gameplay images.

No one believed in it anymore, but the rumors have been growing for a few months. Insiders predicted an announcement in July, which was finally confirmed by Ubisoft. But as always with the publisher’s announcements, a leak had given the date in preview. It’s now confirmed: Skull and Bones will be released on November 8, 2022.

Available in crossplay and cross-progression on PS5, Xbox Series, Stadia and PCThe game will also be available on Ubisoft+ on PC, Stadia and Luna as soon as it is launched in France. Developed by Ubisoft Singapore, the game allows you to take the lead of a company of pirates who scour the Seven Seas at the end of the 17th century.

Violent, in FPS view and with drugs and prostitutes: according to the official classification, the game seemed to be very mature. In a presentation held Thursday night, Ubisoft confirms violent PvP with other captains during sea voyages to compete for resources against rival factions in the Indian Ocean.

To do this, they will have to develop their Infamy in thrilling naval battles and prolific expeditions in a world full of mystery and danger.

Just as in the legendary stories, players will be able to live an authentic and thrilling pirate life. From completing contracts and gathering resources, to navigating important trade routes and attacking wealthy merchant ships, each decision will influence their journey, with varying levels of risk and reward. As they develop their Infamy, players will be able to build and customize their naval fleet and unlock a variety of new items throughout the game.

Ground passes, and an FPS view!

The FPS view is well present on board the ships, as we could see in the unveiled gameplay trailer, but the passages on land as we had discovered. Adventurers will be able to get supplies, collect contracts, and probably wander around the ports to go to the opium dens.
