Ubisoft has announced a new game in The Division franchise and this time the formula is going to be a little different.

For cause, The Division Resurgence is presented as a free-to-play third-person RPG. There is, however, a special feature: it is exclusive to mobile devices. That being said, the setting of the story will not disorient the regulars. You will once again be immersed in a contemporary post-apocalyptic New York that you will have to navigate alone or with others.

This next opus will obviously offer an unpublished scenario which will notably take a different look at the events of the first two titles of the license. In addition, many PvE activities will be made available to players. They will be scattered throughout the map and you will be able to perform them with a new panel of agents from the First Division.

If you’re interested in the experience, Ubisoft will soon be testing the game and you can have a chance to participate by registering on the Resurgence website.

A bright future for the license

It should be noted that Resurgence will not be the only free-to-play game in the series. Indeed, many leaks had revealed the existence of The Division Heartland whose release is scheduled for 2023. Once again, the open world will be the order of the day, but new game modes are also expected.

In general, we can say that the franchise has a bright future ahead of it when we know, for example, that a Netflix movie is currently being prepared.

Anyway, The Division Resurgence doesn’t have a release date yeteven if the studio seems to assure that it will be soon.
