Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II not until 2023

The sequel to the album released a decade ago does not appear to be planned until 2023, according to the latest report from franchise owner Games Workshop, which announces other projects in development.

10 years after the first opus, Games Workshop unveiled the arrival of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II during a presentation to the last Game Awards. At the time, no date revealed but some images from Saber Interactive and Focus for a released exclusively on new generation and PC.

In its latest semi-annual report, however, the game is absent from Games Workshop’s official schedule for this year, which appears to be send it to a year 2023 very distant. It must also be said that the 2022 calendar already relies on other opuses in the franchise: Darktide, postponed to spring 2022, Total War: Warhammer III (scheduled for February 17) and events for Warhammer 40,000: Lost Crusade, the mobile game.

Note that the publisher also speaks of another “major and multiplayer” title which is not set in 2022 and which will exploit the Age of Sigmar universe in video games. “We continue to look for good long-term partners to exploit other intellectual property opportunities: we have other exciting projects in development», Ends the studio.
