Capcom has just confirmed that it will be possible to transfer its Resident Evil 2, 3 and 7 saves to PS5 and Xbox Series.
We suspected it when Capcom announced the arrival of the PS5 and Xbox Series versions for Resident Evil 2, 3 Remake and Resident Evil 7, but the publisher still wanted to confirm it, it will indeed be possible to maintain its progress.
You can continue your games serenely on PS5 and Xbox Series
As soon as you have backups of one of these games on PS4 or Xbox One, it will be possible to operate a backup transfer when launching a new gen versionperfect for not losing the thread.
As a reminder, the new gen upgrade will be free for all owners of the original titles and will bring several graphical improvements, from framerate to Ray Tracing and better resolution. However, we still have no date to put in our mouths even if we know that the PS5 and Xbox Series versions will be available later in 2022.
We’re happy to confirm that save data from the original PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of these games will carry over to their respective upgraded versions. DLC that comes with Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition will transfer over, as well! https://t.co/FVVTPuHBQs

All that is good, but now we are waiting for news of Resident Evil 4 Remake and / or the eighth opus.
