On multiple networks, elements of the PS5’s eventual ghost game have surfaced, including motion capture footage. Should we believe it?
Right after the big rumors and leaks on Silent Hill (AS BY CHANCE), here are some leaks and rumors about Abandoned. You know, the game that pretends it’s going to come out every 3 months and then disappears for 3 months. We cannot blame him for a certain regularity in his communication. Suddenly, a little over a month after again abandoning its players, Hasan Kahraman’s title returns through several leaks.
A possible mocap, a probable image, a script… how to say…
On a private discord, several parts of the game have been revealed by insiders, even if it is still very complicated to verify the veracity of these elements. You can find there a screenshot of a script, a screenshot of a brick wall lit by the light of a flashlight (which can decently come from this survival-horror), and finally a motion capture test video that the editorial staff has been able to consult.
We see the capture of an actor, in wire, who records the animation of a shot in the thigh. The character falls to the ground, then searches his backpack for a bandage to apply to the wound. Nothing too crazy on this side. What remains the most astonishing is the script, worthy of a bad series Z movie where all the characters are only used for the exhibition. Supposedly on the run dialogue features two characters engage in a series of questions and answers serving only to explain the story to the viewers.
Looking closely, either it’s a rather successful parody of Metal Gear, or it’s a fake, or it’s a troll to justify the delays, or all three. Especially since the scenario wants to make meta and break the fourth wall by explaining the reason for this Real Time Experience PS5 app (which we’ve never seen), or the 2-hour Prologue which will serve as a demo, and the fact that Blue Box is a team of secret scientists who use Abandoned to take over the world with an AI that takes over humans.
An obvious reference to the fact that many players have long believed that Hasan does not exist, and that he was an AI created by Kojima to hide this secret project. And here I say it again: and if at the end, we discover that everything was indeed only a big machination, even reports and trolls on Twitter. Everything was planned from the beginning and you all fell into it. What a genius this Kojima.
In short, if the video and the photo are probable, we emit a huge doubt on the script. In any case, we hope that these years of development will be used for something other than this “Exhibition: The Game” (thanks Reddit for blowing me this excellent title).
