A monster script and a prestigious cast: Sam Lake, Remedy’s creative director, gives news about his highly anticipated Alan Wake 2.

Of all the ghostly titles that have been awaited for years, Alan Wake 2 is undoubtedly one of those with the most fans. And the hype has already gone up a notch when Remedy’s title was revealed at the TGA 2021. Very (too) discreet since then, the title announced that it would wait until it was all clean and beautiful to show itself.

A monstrous scenario, a prestigious cast

Expected on PC and consoles in 2023, Alan Wake 2 will be “a monster”, announces Sam Lake, the studio’s creative director (and incidentally Max Payne in real life). On his networks, the creator has published some photos of his work, posing with a keyboard in front of a mountain of paper:

The shootings are underway with our prestigious actors. We wrote a ton of pages with @yourpalclay, more than ever, I think (this story is a monster). Even more to come after a short summer break from that dark place called the writers room.

A little note that also reveals a “prestigious” casting for the dubbing of the characters of the series. Not surprisingly, the title seems to be ambitious, and its scenario very important, as often with the productions of Sam Lake. Unfortunately, we won’t know more about it for the time being, as the team prefers to lock themselves in the writers’ room to develop the title.

As a reminder, Alan Wake 2 will be a true narrative survival-horror, departing a bit from the atmosphere of the first opus with a darker and more mysterious scenario. If its presence on the summer shows is cancelled, we could discover more at the end of the year, for example at the Game Awards.
