Two expected games but which do not yet have an official date: Mass Effect 5 and Dragon Age 4 are progressing well, but we must remain patient…
In the pipes of Bioware there is two games highly anticipated by many players, with a more or less long and chaotic development. On the one hand, Mass Effect 5, finally a sequel to the soap opera RPG, which should pass a new technical and graphic level with a new-gen release and a switch to the Unreal Engine 5 engine.
On the other, Dragon Age 4, again a sequel, but this one has a series of disappointments, between creative departures and unofficial postponements. In short, two very large-scale projects for the Canadian studio of Electronic Arts and whose Release dates are still unclear.
In a developer blogpost, BioWare has provided an update on these projects. In development since 2017, the game could be released before fall 2023 according to the latest rumors. A calendar difficult to evaluate for the moment but which would not be improbable:
For the next Dragon Age, we are in the middle of production, which is a great feeling. Our plan was completed last year, and we are now focused on delivering on our vision: creating stunning environments, deep characters, strong gameplay, impactful writing, emotional cutscenes, and more. Moreover. The game plan is well understood and the team is focused on the following points

And of course, we are also working on the next Mass Effect. The team, led by Mike Gamble, is made up of seasoned developers as well as some very talented new people. They are all actively prototyping new ideas and experiences. Next-gen AAA games take a long time to make – and we know our fans may want them sooner. But our number one priority must be quality, and it takes time to achieve that.
industry veteran, Mike Gamble worked on Mass Effect 2 before becoming producer of Mass Effect 3, its DLCs and Mass Effect Andromeda. He was also one of the chief producers of Anthem.
