Beat Saber launches its OST 5 with new gameplay

Beat Games’ acclaimed rhythm game’s latest free update brings both new tunes and game mechanics.

The teaser started last week, but this is now done, Beat Saber launched, on Quest, PCVR and PSVR, its update 1.20.0 yesterday, March 8, 2022with her fifth official soundtrack.

Deployed freethis consists of six new songs composed especially for the software:

  • $1.78 from Schwank
  • Curtains (All Night Long) from Ewok
  • Camellia’s Final-Boss-Chan
  • Tangier fire starter
  • I want to be a machine from The Living Tombstone
  • Magic by Jaroslav Beck with the participation of Meredith Bull

Point of international star of course, as in the last paying OST, but it’s always good to take. note that Jaroslav Beckthe co-founder and musical director of Beat Games, himself participated in this creation.

But that’s not all. This update also comes with a new lighting systemwith 136 lasers available in the level editor, and the new game mechanic Arc & Chain Notes.

Chains require follow a line accompanying a continuous sound between two blocks, thus imposing the movement of your sword, while the arcs ask you to hold the note in a certain position.

The 36 new tracks joining Beat Games’ rhythm game with theOST 5 obviously incorporate these new gameplay elements.
