After a small gap with 2K Games, the PGA Tour golf license returns to its first love and has signed with the EA Sports team. Next opus scheduled for spring 2023.
After EA Sports UFC, EA Sports Madden NFL and soon EA Sports FC (FIFA) or EA Sports Rally (DiRT), another EA Sports game is coming, but it is no stranger to the virtual sports community: EA Sports PGA Tour is announced for Spring 2023 by Electronic Arts.
Nothing exciting to eat on the image side for the moment, since the official account only displays a photo of a perfectly cut green and the official symbol of the golf franchise.
“PGA Tour Comes Home”
But for golf fans, it’s a big novelty since EA will finally relaunch the license which between 2019 and 2021 at 2K. The latest PGA Tour 2K21 was released in 2020 and was bought out in 2021. “PGA Tour is coming home,” EA says on its site, teasing its audience: players will be able to cycle through all four season majors, the Masters, the PGA Championship, the US Open and the British Open. With, as in the brand’s other games, a career mode and the Frostbite engine.
The game’s FAQ also talks about an agreement with the LPGA, which therefore confirms the presence of pro players and the women’s circuit. Many official events will also be integrated such as THE PLAYERS Championship or the FedExCup, as well as a long list of clubs including:

- Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s Ocean Course
- Torrey Pines
- The Country Club in Brookline, Mass.

- Wilmington Country Club
- East Lake Golf Club
The game is planned on the “new generations of consoles”but has not been confirmed for the old generation and PC as of yet.
