The launch is canon in the UK, the latest Lego Star Wars topping the sales charts. No wonder, when in the market the Danish franchise occupies an important place.
Franchise Lego is very popular in UKplacing fifth in the ranking of the most popular and best-selling video game licenses (in box edition), just behind names whose reputation is well established (Mario, GTA, Call of Duty and FIFA). And, it now confirms it with the latest game dedicated to the universe Star Warswhich is currently a real hit on Steam.
As noted by the market research institute GfKwith its report based on physical editions only, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga just surpassed by more than 8% the record for the best Lego start previously held by a title published in 2008, Lego Indiana Jones. In doing so, the new opus released April 5 therefore takes the first place, thus dropping the last Kirby in second position. This is a more than satisfactory result and superior to what the boxed versions of certain hits had achieved when they were released (Elden Ring, Horizon: Forbidden West). However, it does not match the excitement generated by Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
Among the results recorded, the PS5 version takes the lead with 31%, thus being ahead of the Switch (26%), the Xbox (23%) and the PS4 (20%).
