Disney and Pixar characters will soon be brought together in a new free to play adventure in the form of a life simulator produced by Gameloft on PC, Mac and consoles.

Ancient mobile studio at Ubisoft, the French Gameloft (which now belongs to Vivendi) has released a few hundred different titles in recent years and is no longer confined to smartphones. The developer has just unveiled Disney Dreamlight Valley, a new free to play life and adventure simulation.

The game wants to offer players “live the magic alongside friends from Disney and Pixar, on PC, Mac and consoles”. In this game, fans are invited to “create their avatar and embark on an enchanting journey alongside some of Disney and Pixar’s most beloved characters.” We will find there in particular Mickey and his friends, the characters of the Lion King, the Little Mermaid, Ratatouille or those of Toy Story and Wall-E.

Arriving in the dream world of Dreamlight Valley, players will embark on an enchanting quest to restore a once idyllic village, now desolate and filled with “thorns of the night” after a mysterious event called The Forgetting. Discover the mysterious secrets that led you to this new world and explore various realms inspired by the classic Disney and Pixar universes, while helping the town’s iconic residents recover their lost memories. […] Dive into a multitude of individual stories and enjoy activities with some of the village’s most memorable characterslike cooking delicious Disney-themed meals with Remy from Disney and Pixar’s Ratatouille in your own village restaurant, fishing at the fishing pond with Goofy, or growing vegetables in Wall-E’s vegetable garden.

A early access will be offered to those who pick up a Founder’s Pack or are Xbox Game Pass members, ahead of a slated launch in 2023. In the meantime, an official site and a video allow you to learn more about the game, with an aesthetic very close to the Sims. Besides, like in this game, several kinds of “biomes” will be planned and players will be able to design their own Disney villages, in the snow-capped mountains of Elsa, the shores of Ariel or the town of Mickey.
