The Chinese giant, best known for its takeovers, today opened its very first studio in the United States.
While it is expected to get its hands on Quantic Dream, NetEase has just announced, not yet another takeover, but the creation of an original studio, Jackalope Games
NetEase is rolling out in the USA
The goal for this Texas-based studio will be to create original games for consoles and PC. It is expected that the studio will retain all of its independence and will be able to benefit from complete creative freedom for its future projects. At its head is Jack Emmert, an industry veteran having notably cut his teeth on Neverwinter, Star Trek Online or even DC Universe Online.
