Horizon Forbidden West receives its 1.13 patch

Horizon Forbidden West continues to improve and refine. Indeed, after its April update, the game now welcomes patch 1.13.

Available from last February 18 On PS4 and PS5, the second installment Horizon Forbidden West returns to the top of the charts and continues to improve its experience through various updates. Indeed, after that of April, the title is now assigned a brand new patch. With this Patch 1.13distributed a few hours ago, Guerrilla Games brings some rectifications to certain problems related to the main and secondary quests as well as improvements on the audio side in particular.

Known issues

We are currently investigating several issues reported by the community. Please note that these issues are not yet fixed in this patch, but our teams are aware of them and are investigating them.

  • The team continues to make adjustments to game content in an effort to reduce visual speckle.
  • Players reported an issue in Handa’s contract “Ancient Relics”, where the mission progress gets stuck at “2/3 Gather Ancient Relics”, or “Go to the North Site of the Ancient Machine” if the player leave the area.
  • Outfits may appear covered by dark shadows in inventory.

Fixes and improvements

Main Quests

  • Fixed an issue with the “Aiming for the Stars” main quest where progress would not update after restarting the “Clear Rubble with the Pullcaster” objective.
  • Fixed an issue with the “On the Edge of the Chasm” main quest where Belna would not always spawn after the “Clear the Chasm: Kill the Machines” objective. [*]Fixed an issue with the Main Quest “At Death’s Door” where progress is blocked after using a “Leaplasher’s Spark Coil” in an upgrade before the “Gather Resources for the Battle” objective. ‘igniter’ is active.
  • Fixed several issues with the “Singularity” main quest where unexpected character behavior could cause progression locks.

Side quests

  • Fixed an issue with the “Drowned Hopes” side quest where progress is blocked if using an alternate route to reach the collapsible rocks.
  • Fixed an issue with the “Lofty Ambitions” side quest where the Stormbird could get stuck in the terrain, blocking progress.
  • Fixed an issue with the “Great Ambitions” side quest where Merchant Abadund would not have his prompt after the quest was completed.[*] Fixed an issue with the “Signal Spike” side quest where progress would not update due to interacting with NPCs in “The Wound in the Sand” side quest.
  • Fixed an issue with the “Signal Spike” side quest where Aloy could get stuck underwater during the “Go to Signal Source” objective.
  • Fixed an issue with the side quest “A Soldier’s March” where the “Search for Penttoh’s Footsteps” objective would not trigger if players arrive at a nearby Sunwing Marker for the “Climb the Mountain” objective.
  • Fixed an issue with the “Soldier’s March” side quest where the “Kill the Frostclaw” objective would not update and block progress.
  • Fixed several issues with “The Blood Choke” side quest where Atekka would get stuck or disappear.
  • Fixed several issues with the “Into the Fog” side quest where progress would not update after killing the Clawstrider.
  • Fixed an issue with the “Into the Fog” side quest where progress would not update after following Garokkah to the Memorial with the machines alerted.
  • Fixed an issue with the “Forbidden Legacy” side quest where progress would not update due to Alva not fulfilling the “Follow Alva to Atbay Headquarters” objective.
  • Fixed an issue with the “Forbidden Legacy” side quest where a gap between two buildings would block progress.

Global activities

  • Fixed an issue in the IOTA Cauldron where the “Neutralize the Tallneck” objective would not update upon completion.
  • Fixed an issue in the CHI Cauldron where disabled machines behaved hostile towards Aloy.
  • Fixed an issue in “Property Reclamation” bounties where progress was blocked when reloading the activity with all relics found.
  • Fixed an issue in the “Alert Antennae” Contracts where the objective would not update if Aloy had three Antennae before completing the “Gather the Scrounger’s Alert Antennae” objective.
  • Fixed an issue in “Rollerback Recovery” Contracts where an additional Shellsnapper could spawn.
  • Fixed an issue in the Rebel Camp “Breached Rock” where progress is blocked if the Rebel Leader is killed before the “Enter the Bunker” objective is completed.
  • Fixed an issue in Melee Pits where NPCs were wearing the wrong armor.
  • Fixed an issue where Aloy could get stuck near the entrance to Arrowhand.
  • Fixed an issue in Black Box: Isle of Spires where the signal remains active after picking up the box.
  • Fixed an issue in Signal Tower where some players were having trouble picking up the Signal Lens.
  • Fixed an issue where loading a save with previously tracked items as jobs could cause a crash.
  • machinery

    • Fixed an issue where the Tideripper could have its water pipe swipe attack interrupted.
    • Fixed an issue where machines would not react to an ally’s death.
    • Added spawn points for Apex Grimhorns outside of missions.

    UI/UX

    • Fixed icons for spools and multiple weaves.
    • Fixed Metal Flower icons remaining on the map.
    • Fixed silent strikes being counted twice in the combat stats menu.
    • Fixed several seams on the world map.

    Performance and stability

    • Fixed multiple streams in-game and in the cutscene.
    • Fixed several crashes.

    Others

    • Fixed an issue where Aloy’s shadow could be faded when performing a melee attack or using her Focus.
    • Fixed an issue where “Fiberzest” and “Vigorstem” cannot be obtained after the pocket is full.
    • Fixed several places where the “Install Vine Trimmer Mod” icons were not appearing.
    • Multiple audio fixes and improvements.
    • Multiple fixes to Aloy’s animations.
    • Several localization and subtitle fixes and improvements.
