The game from Square Enix will not be released this year 2022: Forspoken has indeed just announced its postponement and also provided a new date.
The new IP from Square Enix was originally scheduled for a release in 2021. However, it has been pushed back to October 11, 2022. This is no longer the case, so we will have to wait until the following year to have the opportunity to try this new experience, which seems to address, among other things, a very mature theme: the suicide. At least, this is the information relayed by the European classification body.
Forspoken finally arrives in January
Indeed, Square Enix has just sent a tweet to announce the news.
And so, reading the word made available, we learn that the choice of postponement was ordered by purely “strategic” reasons that emerged during discussions with “key partners”. But anyway, it doesn’t matter. The fact remains that Forspoken will now release the January 24th 2023 on PS5 and PC.
By the way, Square Enix also took the opportunity to communicate on the state of its title, which, according to what was shared, is doing well and is now entering its polishing phase. And, a new demo of the game also seems to be planned for this summer.
As a result of ongoing discussions with key partners, we have made a strategic decision to advance the launch date of Forspoken to January 24, 2023. All elements of the game are now complete, and development is in its final polishing phase.
We want to thank you for your support and patience throughout this journey. Your enthusiasm for the game inspires us every day and we look forward to bringing Forspoken to you later this summer!
