Fighting in VR aboard mechs in futuristic arenas will soon be possible, for free, at least on Quest 2, Steam VR and Pico.
The multiplayer VR game by Resolution Games (BlastonDemeo, Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs…), inspired by Rocket League and which proposes to go aboard Mechas to participate in matches in arenaswill be launched on September 15 on Quest 2, SteamVR and Pico.
Obviously oriented competitivethis title was only announced to be released on the “main VR platforms“, only PCVR headsets had been confirmed. It remains to be seen whether a launch will also take place on PSVR, or at least on PSVR 2afterwards.
We also learn that the game will retain a model free-to-play on all platforms with, in order to bring in a few euros (or dollars or other), a seasonal combat pass.
L’Ultimechs UltiPasssince such is its name, will allow to to better customize its mecha with more paintings and other improvements. However, we do not yet know the exact content, nor the price of it.
From August 25 to 28a weekend ofpre-season will also open its doors on Steam with, in the program, some 1v1 and 2v2 matches. The inscriptions are also open on the Steam page of the game.
