Dates unveiled for Las Vegas Grand Prix 2024
This year, all eyes will be on Las Vegas between November 16 and 18.
However, for once, this has absolutely nothing to do with the world of casinos.
It’s just that the city is once again hosting a Formula 1 Grand Prix for the first time since 1982.
Admittedly, the excitement is high. Indeed, the event is expected to double the economic impact of the Super Bowl 2024 also held in Las Vegas.
Since we know that Formula 1 is due to return to the Strip every year, everyone was eagerly awaiting the dates for the 2024 edition of the Las Vegas Grand Prix.
At last: they’ve just been announced.
Las Vegas Grand Prix 2024: Between Thursday, November 21 and Saturday, November 23, 2024
In a recent press release issued on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, Formula 1 published the calendar for the entire 2024 season. There will be 24 races between March 2 in Bahrain and December 8 in Abu Dhabi.
According to Formula 1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali, the calendar strikes a good balance between traditional races and new and existing venues. It also introduces a number of changes to reduce the logistical burden. For example, 3 Grand Prix have been moved.
The Japanese Grand Prix will take place in April, the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in September and the Qatar Grand Prix in December. And the Chinese Grand Prix will finally be held again. The international Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic had prevented it from being held since 2019.
All Formula 1 races have been held on Sundays since 1985. The 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix will break with this tradition, taking place on Saturday, November 18, 2023. During the 2024 edition of the World Championship, 3 races will follow suit.
Due to Ramadan, the Bahraini and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix will be held on a Saturday. And like this year, the Las Vegas 2024 Grand Prix will also take place on a Saturday. It will take place between Thursday November 21 and Saturday November 23.

On a 23 km long urban circuit
It is planned that each Las Vegas Grand Prix will take place on the same urban circuit that winds its way around the Strip. As a result, work began on Sunday April 2 to transform certain sections of the roadway.
The work will continue until Friday, September 15, at a total cost of $74 million. The track is 23 km long, with 14 bends and a 1.9 km straight, which should enable the cars to exceed 320 km/h.
Let’s face it, the 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix is a huge draw for Formula 1 fans. Indeed, every time tickets go on sale, they’re gone in a very short space of time.
We can still expect a major draw for the next Las Vegas Grand Prix, which is therefore scheduled to take place between November 21 and 23, 2024.
