Death Stranding 2: Development Has Begun According to Norman Reedus

While Kojima has a knack for keeping everything a secret, it seems like Norman Reedus didn’t drop a bombshell in the middle of an interview.

During an interview for Leo Edit, the actor spoke at length about his years spent in the series The Walking Dead, before talking about his other projects, including a certain Death Stranding 2.

Death Stranding 2 in the works?

As the reporter lists her current affairs and quotes Death Stranding, Norman replies bluntly: “We have just started the second”.

He is then asked to tell a little about how he could find himself embarking on such a project. The actor then returns to his meeting with Hideo Kojima, before reaffirming that the second opus is in development.

It was Guillermo Del Toro, who gave me my first movie, who called me and said, “Hey, there’s a guy called Hideo Kojima, he’s going to call you, tell him just yes”. And I say, “How do you just say yes?” There, he says to me: “Stop doing the c** and just say yes.” Then I ended up in San Diego and Hideo came over from Tokyo with a big group of people, and he showed me what he was working on at the time, on a game called Silent Hill. I was blown away by what he was showing me, and I was like, “Yeah, let’s do it.” Then it all came together. It’s not Ms. Pacman [Death Stranding]it’s so realistic, it’s so futuristic, it’s so complicated and beautiful, and I was completely blown away.

It took me two or three years to complete all the MoCap sessions [Motion Capture] and all the rest. It takes a lot of work. And then the game came out, and it won all these awards, and it was huge, and theto we just started the second part.

Would Norman Reedus come to spill the beans? We knew full well that a second opus was planned, nothing more normal given the success of the first game, but it seems that it will arrive faster than expected since apparently one of Kojima’s ongoing projects would only be the long-awaited sequel.
