Electronic Arts has just taken stock of its finances for the last quarter of 2021, and ended the year in the green thanks in particular to its battle royale.

EA does not hide it, Battlefield 2042 is a disappointment, so much so that the editor would think about a potential passage in free to play. In the meantime, DICE has postponed its season 1 to refine its foal again and again.

Nevertheless, Electronic Arts has all the lights on green and starts 2022 on a high note. Thus, over the last 12 months, EA has recorded no less than 7.2 billion in net revenue, an increase of 22% compared to last year.

A nice figure that the American giant owes in particular to Apex Legends, since the software has recorded a growth of its active players of around 30%. More generally, it is no less than 540 million people who have played an EA game at least once, and 180 million monthly usersall games combined, with a 20% increase in the time spent on it.

Obviously, Apex Legends is not the only software to contribute to the task, since FIFA no longer has to answer for its success and remains one of the strong brands (if not the biggest) of the publisher. . In addition, other titles unknown to us, such as Madden NFLare a hit on the other side of the Atlantic.

Clearly, EA still has a bright future ahead of it.
