After three rounds of internet voting, the latest game from Xbox Game Studios won the only prize it was in contention for, far ahead.
Barring an unfortunate twist and last-minute change following a complaint from Capcom which failed to place its Resident Evil Village on the podium, Halo Infinite will receive the People’s Choice award at the 2021 Game Awards tonight.
(Full scores not given, capture before end of round)
Indeed, the third round of voting took place last night and, without surprises since he was alone in the lead from the start of the round, Microsoft’s Halo Infinite was elected. As a reminder, Halo’s last opus was only named in this category. But Xbox Game Studios will have multiple opportunities to land another title, since the studio is the most named, competing in 12 other categories.
The ceremony will take place tonight from 2 a.m. live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
