Marina Bay Sands enters into partnership with Ferrari
In the city-state of Singapore, there are 2 hotel-casinos. The Resorts World Sentosa is located on the island of the same name.
Right in the heart of the city’s historic center sits the Marina Bay Sands. The latter has just signed a multi-year partnership agreement with the Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 racing team.
Under the terms of the contract they have signed together, the famous hotel-casino will organize a series of Ferrari-themed promotional activities between Mondays September 11 and 18, i.e. throughout the week of the Singapore Grand Prix.
Some events already unveiled as part of this agreement
In 2008, the Formula 1 World Championship came to Singapore for the first time for a Grand Prix.
The race takes place at night on a city circuit just over 5 km long, with 23 corners and a straight that allows cars to exceed 295 km/h.
After 12 consecutive editions, the car race was cancelled in 2020 and 2021, due to the international Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic. Resumed in 2022, it is scheduled to take place from Thursday September 14 to Sunday September 17, 2023.
For the 4 days of the Grand Prix weekend proper, the Marina Bay Sands façade will be illuminated in the emblematic red of the Ferrari brand.
In addition, a replica of the SF90 that took part in the 2019 Formula 1 season will also be on display in the hotel-casino’s Tower 1 lobby throughout the week.
We also know that Scuderia Ferrari drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, as well as team director and general manager Frédéric Vasseur, will be taking part in partnership activities at Marina Bay Sands.
A partnership that delights the 2 signatories
In a recent press release published just a few days ago, the General Manager of Marina Bay Sands (Paul Town) said he was extremely proud to be working with Scuderia Ferrari, the most successful Formula 1 team in history.
He is also looking forward to offering exciting activities related to the legendary carmaker.
For his part, Scuderia Ferrari’s head of partnership development (Paul Gandolfi) noted that the 2 brands are united by luxury, ambition and the pursuit of quality and excellence.
That’s why he’s delighted to be able to offer memorable activities for Formula 1 fans at Marina Bay Sands.
Operated by the American Las Vegas Sands group, the Marina Bay Sands is a hotel-casino that opened on June 23, 2010.
It houses 2,560 rooms or suites and the ArtScience Museum. The casino itself features 1,000 tables and 1,400 slot machines.
