Sony’s consoles have just updated the PS4 and PS5 system software in beta with some new features and expected improvements. Here is the detail of the content and how to test them.

PlayStation teams just announced this Wednesday beta release of new system software for PS4 and PS5. To be able to test them, you must be registered as a version tester and be selected by the Sony program.

If you haven’t already, you can always click on this link to register for the beta program. Among the novelties of these new versions, the two consoles will offer new options for parties including the possibility of creating a Party open to all your friends or a closed Party accessible only by invitation.

On PS4you can now individually adjust the sound of each player in a Party, as is already done on PS5. Finally, side PS5the interface of the Game Base and trophies is improved, it is now possible to filter games by genre and select those that will remain visible in the menuand new options accessibility are offered (including the implementation of Mono sound for headphones).

You can find the complete description of this beta on the PS Blog. Sony recalls, however, that the presence of these improvements cannot guarantee deployment in a stable version in the next update. The publisher is now awaiting feedback from selected beta testers.
