As a result, many casinos are finding it very difficult to find candidates for the job of croupier. This is what is happening in the casinos of Deauville and Trouville in Normandy.
Hands-on training on blackjack, roulette and poker tables
This lack of candidates explains why the casinos of Deauville and Trouville are organizing information meetings on January 19 and 20, which will allow aspiring croupiers to learn a little more about this exciting profession and allow the establishments to select about 15 candidates who are comfortable with mental arithmetic.
The following week, these candidates will take part in a training course given by the specialized school Cerus Casino Academy. The training will be entirely practical and will take place on the gaming tables of the Casino Barrière de Deauville.
Aspiring croupiers will learn the technical gestures and rules of the main traditional games: blackjack, roulette and poker. In fact, their role will be to lead the games on tables dedicated to these great casino classics. As of April 26, they will be spread out in the Deauville and Trouville complexes.
Good news: there is no need for a particular diploma to participate in this recruitment process. You just have to be of age, European and registered to vote. You must also have a clean criminal record.
About the casinos of Deauville and Trouville
Located less than ten minutes by car from each other, the casinos of Deauville and Trouville are located in Normandy on the Côte Fleurie. They are among the most prestigious gaming establishments in France.
In the Casino Barrière of Deauville, there are more than 300 slot machines and about thirty gaming tables. Inside the Trouville Casino Barrière, there are about 200 slot machines and 10 gaming tables.
