The return of regular tournaments at the Montmartre Club
Within the Parisian gambling clubs, there are quite a few counterpart games such as punto banco, ultimate poker or multicolor among others. There are also ring games such as texas hold’em and omaha for example.
These can be played in cash games but also in tournaments. Unfortunately, this kind of competition has been rare lately, especially at Club Montmartre.
We have just received some good news: regular tournaments are making a comeback in this gaming room.
A pause due to a change in regulations
During the month of October, several Parisian gaming clubs announced that they were cancelling poker tournaments. This decision was made following a change in regulations.
The Service Central des Courses et Jeux had just made it known that a supervisor was required for every 2 tables, as is already required for cash games. However, there had been a lack of clarity on this subject for tournaments until then.
The only problem is that the new regulations have increased the cost of organizing these famous competitions, since they require more employees to supervise the games. The problem is that the economy of the tournaments was already quite precarious.
As a result, some players feared that such competitions in the French capital would eventually disappear.
New tournament program unveiled at Club Montmartre
For the past few weeks, all of Club Montmarte’s regular tournaments have been put on hold with the exception of the €500 Croesus every Sunday. Fortunately, the rules have recently been relaxed.
The gaming room has therefore decided to backtrack. Since Monday, December 12, 2022, regular tournaments have returned to Club Montmartre.
On this occasion, the club has just unveiled a new program clearly inspired by the old one. It is composed as follows:
Bullstack €250 (220+30) every Monday from 8pm,
Golden Bounty €200 (180+20) every Tuesday at 8pm,
Sat Pack 150€ (130+20) every Wednesday from 8pm,
Satellite Atys 100€ (85+15) from 1:30pm and Crésus 400€ (360+40) from 4:30pm every Sunday.
Reservations can already be made on the Club Montmartre website for these different competitions.
The Montmartre Club is managed by Frédérique Ruggieri
It is the former emblematic boss of the Casino du Lac de la Magdeleine in Gujan-Mestras (Frédérique Ruggieri) who is at the head of the Club Montmartre inaugurated at the end of August 2019.
Located on the border between the 9th and 18th arrondissements of Paris at 84-86 Rue de Clichy, it is accessible every day from 4pm to 6am on weekdays and from 1pm on weekends for an entrance fee of €10.
There are 36 tables to play texas hold’em, omaha, punto banco, ultimate poker, poker 21, three card poker and stud poker.
