Hard Rock completes acquisition of Mirage
The Seminole Indian tribe of Florida owns the famous Hard Rock brand. During 2021, it announced that it will acquire The Mirage hotel-casino on the Las Vegas Strip owned by MGM Resorts International Group.
On Friday, December 16, it finally received the very last regulatory approval needed from the Nevada Gaming Commission, following a lengthy presentation lasting nearly three hours.

In addition, it signed a long-term lease agreement with real estate investment firm VICI Properties for the real estate ownership of the asset.
Initially, the gaming establishment will continue to operate under its current name. However, renovation work is already planned. When they are finally completed, the complex will be renamed Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas. This should happen in about 18 months.

The Mirage opened its doors in November 1989 under the impetus of businessman Steve Wynn. After this ambitious work, the future Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas will have no less than 3,700 rooms or suites, 21 restaurants, a Hard Rock Live showroom and a space of more than 7,800 m² dedicated to meetings and conventions.
In total, no less than 16,165 square meters will also be reserved for the casino itself. This is enough to offer a very wide range of slot machines and tables dedicated to the main traditional games to delight the greatest number of people.
