The Tintin franchise is back with a new adventure game

After relaunching the Asterix franchise in the video game, Microids tackles a well-known reporter from the comics.

You are not dreaming, Tintin and his faithful sidekick Snowy will soon make their big comeback in a new adventure game called Tintin Reporter: Cigars of the Pharaoh. As a bonus, we have the right to a first trailer and some images of the software.

Sapristi, a new game tintin!

This new iteration of the reporter’s adventures is brought to us by Pendulo Studiosmore known lately for Alfred Hitcock Vertigo. And as you don’t change a winning team, the studio has teamed up with the French publisher Microidsa true specialist in the adaptation of popular licenses such as Asterix or Blacksad into video games. The CEO has also expressed his excitement:

It is a real pleasure to be able to adapt this adventure of the famous Belgian reporter. Together with the Spanish studio Pendulo Studios, we started production a few years ago and we can’t wait to show more to gamers around the world. I’ll go even further and say that we’re doing everything we can to honor Hergé’s work and we want to offer fans the adaptation they’ve always dreamed of.”

This homage to Hergé’s work will therefore include an action-adventure game in the third person. You will probably have understood it by now, but the title is inspired by the eponymous comic book featuring Tintin in search of the tomb of the pharaoh Kih-Oskh. To do this, he will have to cross countries like India, Arabia or, of course, Egypt. On his road, he will meet emblematic characters of the comic strip like Captain Haddock (with, we hope, his famous expressions).
