Facebook and Twitter hitting Xbox Live on November 17 in UK

Submitted by Stephen Ebert on October 10, 2009 – 11:01 pm3 Comments

Facebook and Twitter coming to Xbox live November 17 in UKMicrosoft’s Facebook and Twitter service will officially launch in the UK on November 17th exclusively to Xbox Live Gold members.

The announcement comes via a message on the UK Xbox website saying: “Service launches 17th November 2009.”

Both social features will arrive especially tailored to make the move from desktops to the console with exclusive features such as a Friend Linker for Facebook letting social networkers invite their Facebook buddies to play over Xbox Live, while Twitter displays your avatar.

We’ve heard it’ll include the Last.FM service too letting users discover new music. There’s no word yet on a U.S launch for either service. The beta for both services arrives later this month.
