More than a month to wait before being able to touch one of the most anticipated games of the year. And it looks particularly long.
Lovers of the Souls saga know it, FromSoftware’s games make you drool, but are not particularly long when you have the mechanics in hand.
Conversely, Elden Ring will offer more side content and offer many opportunities during exploration. In addition, the software obviously has a solid initial lifespan, since the main plot would be completed in about thirty hours (Variable depending on the profile of the players obviously) if we are to believe the words of producer Yasuhiro Kitao, questioned on the subject during the Tapeï Games Show. The latter declares:
[…]With regard to the objectives set during development, the idea was that the main plot should be able to be completed in 30 hours about. The game as a whole, on the other hand, is quite large and contains dozens of additional hours of gameplay. But if we’re only talking about the main quest, it shouldn’t take much longer than that…
If we take for granted what Mr. Kitao says, we could therefore count on 40-50h in zigzag, certainly more to discover all the secrets.
A lifespan estimated more than honest, even consistent for the genre, not to mention that many players risk getting lost in the open world and crossing paths with enemies that are anything but friendly. As was the case during our preview last November.
Appointment February 25 to get to the bottom of it, on PS5, Xbox Series, PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
