Team 21 Studio’s virtual reality MMORPG gives some fresh news to reassure us about its progress.
Coming from a successful Kickstarter campaign in October 2020, Ilysia had tested its alpha release in June 2021 but Team 21, the development studio in South Carolina (USA), has remained very discreet since.
We are therefore delighted to learn that the development of this MMORPG for virtual reality – which will come to compete with Zenith: The Last City released last month – is continuing correctly.
Although we’ve been relatively quiet regarding development, we promise things are going extremely well!
Centuries ago, the Lagenans have corrupted their world, causing a great rift that split the planet. Fearing their own destruction, they created great portals powered by the blood of their gods, in order to colonize another planet: Ilysia. The choice is yours to help the Lagenans secure their hold on Ilysia, or defend the planet against their invasion.
Alone or with friends, you will have to explore a multitude of unique areas and complete different quests. Each area will contain monsters, bosses, dungeons, caves and large cities to discover.
The studio is currently working on a second alpha test and the game should therefore not arrive immediately on PCVR and PSVR. In the meantime, a new avatar design preview was shared.
