The Japanese studio announces that it has used the Epic Games engine for three games: Samurai Shodown, KoF 15 and a title not yet announced. Fatal Fury, Garou, Metal Slug? Everything is possible!
The announcement is discreet but not subtle. In a simple, unnoticed, one-line tweet, which redirects to the Unreal Engine site, the publisher announces that it has worked on Samurai Shodown, The King of Fighters XV, and a “new unannounced title that uses Unreal Engine “.
The article in question is a communication from Epic’s engine around the ongoing projects at SNK. If we know the two opuses aroused, KoF 15 which has just been released, and the fighting game available since 2019, the third title does not let any information pass.
We are currently testing a new game in preparation that will use Unreal Engine, so I can say that it is a strong possibility for the future (to switch to UE, editor’s note).
Internet users obviously had a great time finding the name of this secret title: a new Fatal Fury? SNK Heroines 2? A Metal Slug? A sequel to Garou: Mark of the Wolves? The future will tell…
