We didn’t expect this, but it’s true: PlayStation Productions is preparing a movie about the game Gravity Rush.
Lastly, we have learned that the Days Gone license will make its comeback, but in the cinema and with PlayStation Studios at the helm. And it won’t be the only one to rise from its ashes outside the video game world, since Sony is obviously keen to make more film adaptations of its franchises.
A Gravity Rush movie fell from the sky
The proof, PlayStation Studios, in addition to the adventures of Deacon St. John, will adapt into a feature film those of Kat, the protagonist of the Gravity Rush games. This news comes to us from an article by Deadline, which also communicated some additional information about the heads of this project.
Specifically, we don’t know much about the film. Are we dealing with an unpublished story or a faithful retranscription of the story of the first opus? Will there be new characters? Who will play Kat? These are all questions that remain unanswered. Nevertheless, the name of the director has been announced and it is none other than Anna Mastromore known for Walter or Secret Society of the Royalty. As for the script, it was placed in the hands of Emily Jerome. The latter works in parallel on Panopticon.
No surprises, for the moment, no release date is to be declaredbut we will communicate it to you when the time comes.
