If this is not incredible, it is at least very unusual. A few days after the release of its last game, Level 5 has just let slip the trademark registered in the USA.

This is not trivial. Level 5 has just released Megaton Musashi in Japan just a few days ago on Switch and PS4. A game that was announced 5 years ago on 3DS and which was slow to come.

So long overdue, moreover, that the trademark registration in the USA has just fallen into oblivion. Indeed, according to the USPTO register of November 22, the license filed by Level-5 on August 21, 2018 was abandoned.

Abandoned because no declaration of use or request for extension was filed in time after the issuance of the authorization notice.

In other words, today anyone can file the name of the game in the USA. Evil tongues will say that it is because the game has not been found in the sales figures since its release in Japan and it is almost a given that the license will never be exported
