Make-A-Wish makes a dream come true at Palms Casino Resort
The city of Las Vegas in the US state of Nevada is of course internationally renowned for its land-based casinos, but also for its live entertainment venues. Indeed, it regularly hosts concert events. The Make-A-Wish Foundation organized a very special show here.
This non-profit association aims to grant the wishes of seriously ill children. Recently, it enabled a 15-year-old girl to perform on the Pearl Theatre stage at the Palms Casino Resort.
This allowed her to experience all the excitement of performing on a legendary stage.
A welcome worthy of a singing star
Destiny Browne is 15 years old. Stricken with cancer, she has wanted to become a singer ever since she saw Lady Gaga on stage. The Make-A-Wish Foundation helped her realize her dream in association with the Palms Casino Resort on Flamingo Road in Las Vegas.
Just a few days ago, the resort hosted a Destiny Browne concert in its Pearl Theater. The venue was packed with Destiny’s family, friends, resort employees and volunteers.
Before the performance, she received VIP transportation and her entrance to the stage was via a blue carpet arrival in the casino to the applause of the crowd.
During the concert, Destiny Browne sang 2 of her own songs, and a video of a third was also shown.

Cancer diagnosed 2 years ago
Destiny Browne’s destiny as a successful singer was thwarted 2 years ago. That’s when she was diagnosed with cancer. She underwent surgery, various surgical treatments and a grueling series of chemotherapies. According to her family, her love of music helped her to persevere throughout this difficult period.
With the help of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, she was able to connect with music producers who recorded the 2 original songs she sang during her concert in Los Angeles.
The commitment of the Palms Casino Resort team
The General Manager of the Palms Casino Resort (Cynthia Kiser Murphey) said that the entire team at the resort welcomed Destiny Browne and the Make-A-Wish Foundation with the greatest of pleasure. With great humility, every member of the staff was very touched to be able to grant this teenager’s wish.
Seeing her smile during her performance and hearing her beautiful voice was a priceless experience.
Opened on November 15, 2001, the Palms Casino Resort features no fewer than 703 rooms and suites. Its gaming area covers more than 8,700 m². There’s a sports betting room, 2,200 slot machines, keno, bingo and 55 traditional gaming tables.
