Confirming information from last June, insider Tom Henderson announces a Call of Duty Warzone for smartphones in 2022.

While Call of Duty has changed era with its new Vanguard, the developers are not ready to stop the successful license of free-to-play Warzone. The battle royale of the license, always as popular, should be oriented towards an episode on mobile for 2022, according to the insider Tom Henderson. The rumor comes as a few days ago, EA announced a major upheaval in its workforce and strategy, aiming to make its new Battlefield 2042 the spearhead of a connected universe, where BF Mobile would be as important as free-to-play. In the subtext, it was clearly understood that the publisher would also be inspired by the future of Warzone to offer an evolving license, to be renewed each year, and focused on game-service.

On the Activision side, the arrival of a Warzone Mobile would allow the competing franchise to develop in the market.
