Call of Duty film in the works?
One of gamings biggest franchises could be coming to the the big screen with chatter of Call of Duty being turned into an all guns blazing blockbuster.
The hint came via a teasing post by Infinity Ward and Call of Duty developer Robert Bowling’s Twitter page:
“First round of meetings in Paris wrapped. Grabbing lunch with Xavier Gens, director of the Hitman film while in town. Talking game films.”
And as spotted by Trademork a license registered by Activision has already been granted for ‘Call of Duty’ covering “Pre-recorded movies featuring comedy, drama, action, adventure, music, theatrical performances and/or animation.”
With everything seemingly in place it looks like a Call of Duty movie could be gearing up for production sooner than we think. We’ll keep you posted.
