Announced during the last Square Enix livestream devoted to Final Fantasy 7, the remaster (remake?) of Crisis Core is shown and compared to its original version.

Alongside the long-awaited Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, second part of FF7 Remake, Crisis Core also had its moment of glory when it announced its remaster/remake coming this winter.

Crisis Core FF7 Reunion: more remake than remaster?

Crisis Core Final Fantasy 7 Reunion will take us back to the events that precede Final Fantasy 7. We will therefore embody Zack Fair, a second-class soldier, going on a mission to put an end to the Wutaï war, except that events will quickly take an unexpected turn.

Originally released on PSP, the app is showing its age and now benefits from a significant graphic improvementbut not only, since we can notably see that the character models were modeled after those of Final Fantasy 7 Remake in order to better link this opus to the new saga. In any case the work accomplished is more than visible, technically, we are not on a simple refining of the resolution, but indeed on a complete graphic overhaulfrom heroes and environments to visual effects and HUD.

Simple remaster or remake? Doubt is allowed. Without spoilers, you are aware that Final Fantasy 7 Remake has a lot of surprises in store and differs somewhat from the original title, so it could be that Crisis Core follows the same path and also has its share of surprises in store for us.
