A few days after Phil Spencer’s declarations, it is now the turn of Microsoft’s official site to announce a multiplatform release of the games “after the current contracts”.

That’s a statement that should put an end to all eventualitiesincluding the slight blurring of Phil Spencer, boss of Xboxin a recent interview with Axios. This Wednesday, the official Microsoft blog has indeed published an article to formalize things. Again, you might say.

Brad Smithpresident of Microsoft, explains:

To be clear, Microsoft will continue to make Call of Duty and other popular Activision Blizzard titles available on PlayStation for the duration of any existing agreement with Activision. And we are committed to Sony to also make them available on PlayStation beyond the existing agreement and in the futureso Sony fans can continue to enjoy the games they love.

It would seem that this note of intent distributed massively is also a way to reassure the authorities who will soon have to validate the takeover of the ABK group by Microsoft. Incidentally, Xbox leaders also announce that they will ensure that everything happens the same way with the consoles of nintendo:

We also want to take similar steps to support Nintendo’s successful platform. We believe this is the right thing to do for the industry, for the gamers and for our business.

Reassuring news for fans of ActiBli games, but which obviously does not prevent the studio now owned by Xbox from produce new titles exclusively for the Microsoft console.
