Since the surprise announcement of Marvel’s Wolverine with this sublime trailer during the PlayStation Showcase, it’s dead calm. However, it is obviously working hard on the side of Insomniac Games on this next title planned for PS5. Since it seems that the studio is preparing the motion capture set.

Insomniac Games is on all fronts right now. After accompanying the launch of the PlayStation 5 with the highly successful Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, the Californian studio has decided to set its sights on the Marvel Universe.

Nowadays, three projects known are being worked on, and two of them relate to this universe:

But back on topic, since here we have a small candy to hand out to the most impatient among us. In this case, we were able to find a tweet from the head of animation on Marvel’s Wolverine, Mike Yosh. Naughty Dog veteran having worked on the Uncharted, The Last of Us or the first Spiderman.

In this one, he shares a photo where he appears to be posed near a table, with what looks like a leaflet and a cup of coffee. And in the background what looks very much like a studio for motion capture work.

Moreover, the following comment leaves little doubt on this subject since it indicates this:

So peaceful and calm, ….it won’t be like this for long

In sum, work on all the animations and cut-scenes that will then be integrated into the game seems about to begin. If this does not tell us more about the progress of the project, we can reasonably consider that the contours of the future title where you will probably play Logan are frankly well drawn.
