A few days ago, Rockstar announced that it would concentrate fully on GTA 6 (and GTA Online, of course) and that it would not be releasing any more major content.he was going to cut down his teams in charge of the follow-up of Red Dead Online. If the online mode remains active, it will no longer benefit from big event-based additions like GTA Onlinebut only patches, additions and some Telegram or community missions. Visibly saddened by this news, the players decided to give the game a proper funeralwhich is now considered dead.

Thousands of players logged on this Wednesday, July 13 to drink a last beer, take pictures and enjoy the last moments of their favorite game, which they now consider to be under artificial respiration.
This decision may not be to everyone’s liking, but Rockstar must think about what to do next and if Red Dead Online may have its community, players are clearly not as numerous as in GTA Online which has become a real phenomenon for a whole generation.
GTA Online has literally exploded in the last few years thanks to PR and especially thanks to Twitch, which has hundreds of thousands of regular viewers. The astronomical sales of GTA 5 speak for themselves, it’s a historical hit and a game with a cult following. Red Dead Online could not/should not have been so populardespite the recent breakthrough of RP here as well, and more than satisfactory sales, and should therefore fade away gradually. R.I.P
