New map, new weapons, new vehicles and more, Battlefield 2042 does not forget anything for its first season, not even its battle pass.
Obviously all the information that had leaked was true, Battlefield 2042 will launch its season 1 on June 9 on PS5, Xbox Series, PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The latter will embark with her free content and a first Battle Pass.
Map, specialist, weapons, vehicles… Battlefield 2042 is full
This first season also includes the first new map of the app: Exposition.
A hyper-vertical, not to say vertiginous, particularly natural and rugged confrontation zone, a far cry from ultra-smooth maps like Kaleidoscope and Renewal.
Here, then, we will have the right to patches of forest, secret mountainside bases and steep cliffs half destroyed by a landslide. We are also told about an earthquake in the trailer so maybe we will have the right to replicas during the fight? We only hope that this new map will erase the problems of the previous ones in terms of design.
A new specialist will also appear, Ewelina Lis, an engineer specializing in the destruction of vehicles. She will have in her possession a missile launcher by manual guidance as well as a pocket radar allowing her to locate nearby vehicles on her mini-map.
And that’s good since vehicles there will be two new ones, the RAH-68 Huron and the YG-99 Hannibal, two over-equipped combat helicopters. In addition, all operators will be able to get their hands on two new weapons, the Ghostmaker R10 crossbow and the DMR BSV-M.
To finish, Battlefield 2042 will welcome its very first Battle Pass. This will be composed of 100 levels, unlockable by playing, stuffed with cosmetics for weapons, specialists, vehicles and more. As in all Battle Passes, there will be two tiers, a free one offering part of the rewards (about thirty), and another paying one which will give access to all the bonuses (just over a hundred), and even currency to spend in the in-game store. DICE also claims that no gameplay element will be present in the paid tierthis one being reserved for cosmetics.

Despite all this, for the moment, no mention was made suggesting that one would see the first traces of the redesign that DICE is doing. We will have to wait until the patch note to be sure.
